The Exchange Club of Newport Harbor was officially chartered on January 18, 1957, marking the beginning of its dedicated service to the Newport Harbor community. As a proud member of the National Exchange Club (NEC)—America’s oldest service organization, founded in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan—we are part of a nationwide network of volunteers working to make our communities better places to live.

As the oldest nonprofit service club in Newport Beach, we’ve proudly donated over $1 million to Newport Beach and surrounding communities. Our contributions support youth initiatives, patriotic programs, child abuse prevention efforts, and military servicemember support. Notably, we founded the first Cub Scout Troop in the United States.
